Although your treat was formulated and tempered to remain smooth and spreadable, certain factors like temperature can affect the texture of natural fats.

If it feels grainy, that’s just cacao crystals, which are totally safe and still effective. They’ll melt into your skin with your body heat.

Slight oil pooling on the surface is also normal in high-fat products that don’t use synthetic stabilizers. It’s just proof of how rich your treat is.

If it melts, no problem - it may feel firmer after resetting, but it’s still good to go and will melt beautifully into your skin.

Eventually yes, as it’s made fresh without preservatives. But it's formulated to have a lengthy shelf life, just like gourmet chocolate. Check the “Fresh Before” date on the seal and store it somewhere cool and dry. Avoid storing it on sunny windowsills and extra warm places.
